UK December Get Away

Enjoy a break and get-away on this seven day UK tour where everything is arranged for you and all socially distanced. You have an opportunity to relax, see some of the Christmas Illuminations and do Christmas shopping.

All campsites are with hard standing pitches & electric hook ups. They are located within walking distance of the local town/village or close to a bus stop, making getting out & about easy.

We start in the heart of the Cotswold’s at ‘Adams Farm’, then travel to Slimbridge for a stay very near to the wonderful Wetlands Centre, before finishing in England’s smallest city, Wells, with its lovely Cathedral and Bishops Palace waiting to be seen.

Day One – Wednesday 9^th December
We meet at a campsite in the heart of the Cotswolds for a two-night stay at Adam’s Cotswold Farm. Adam can be seen on the BBC Countyfile programme and the farm has many rare breeds of farm animals

Day Two – Thursday 10^th December
Entry to Adams Farm is included for you today so you can explore and get up close to some of the animals in your own time. This evening we visit the Enchanted Illuminated Walk within the Park

Day Three – Friday 11^th December
We move to a well-appointed campsite in Slimbridge, Gloucestershire, for a two-night stay.  30 miles 

Day Four – Saturday 12^th December
From our campsite 800m walk brings you to the truly amazing Slimbridge Wetlands Centre. Located on the banks of the River Severn there are 100 acres of wildlife, gardens and lakes to explore. Additionally, being directly on the banks of the Gloucester-Sharpness canal numerous walks, cycling and relaxing opportunities are to hand directly from the campsite. Including the well run Tudor Arms being next to the campsite entrance.

Day Five – Sunday 13^th December
Travel today to our last campsite which is within walking distance of Wells. 50 miles

Days Six & Seven – Monday 14^th & Tuesday 15^th December
You can wander into Wells today for some Christmas shopping. Also Wells Cathedral and The Bishop’s Palace are well worth a visit.

Days Eight – Wednesday 16^th December
Our tour comes to an end this morning.
