Continuing from ‘Greece – The Peloponnese’ this tour takes in the other half of the country and extends your holiday for a further 14 days.

We mix stays on the coast of the Pelion Peninsular and the charming island of Corfu with time inland. During our stay at Meteroa we have a guided tour of this wonderful area where the Greeks famously built their Monasteries precariously perched atop the local rock formations, a sight not to be missed.

In Ioannina we see Greece’s city of mixed traditions, from its well preserved Turkish quarter and ancient silver production through to its Lake Island and modern restaurants.

Then in Corfu we take an island tour including a visit to ‘Mon Repos’ villa, birth place of Prince Philip and the picturesquely rugged resort of Paleokastritsa.

Day One/ Twenty-one – Saturday 4^th May
Drive from Delphi to our next campsite located on the Pelion Peninsular.  100 miles

Day Two/ Twenty-two – Sunday 5^th May
Today is the Greek Orthodox Easter Sunday and the biggest annual celebration in the Greek calendar, a day when families get together.  After a leisurely start to the day, we join in a traditional Greek Easter family celebration.

Day Three/Twenty-three – Monday 6^th May
We tour the ‘Pelion Peninsular’, with its own microclimate it’s a popular fruit growing region.

Day Four/Twenty-four – Tuesday 7^th May
A free day. This evening we have a group dinner in the campsites own Taverna. During the day, for those who would like to participate in learning Greek cooking, you are invited to join the chefs in the kitchen as they share their skills with you in preparing tonight’s meal.

Day Five/Twenty-five – Wednesday 8^th May
Drive to the Meteora region of Greece. It is here the Greeks famously built their monasteries precariously perched high on the local rocks. 70 miles

Day Six/Twenty-six – Thursday 9^th May
A morning group tour of the Meteora including visiting some of the monasteries.

Day Seven/Twenty-seven – Friday 10^th May
Drive to the lakeside city of Ioannina. You can take the motorway or the scenic Katara pass, the choice is yours. 90 or 120 miles

Day Eight/Twenty-eight – Saturday 11^th May
We take a boat to the lakes island with time to explore before we meet up for a group lunch in an island restaurant.

Day Nine/Twenty-nine – Sunday 12^th May
A free day. You may decide to visit the old Turkish quarter of the city.

Day Ten/Thirty – Monday 13^th May
This morning we drive to the port of Igoumenitsa from where we take a ferry (1.5 hours crossing) to the charming island of Corfu. Upon leaving the ferry it is just a short drive to our island campsite. 50 miles, ferry, 15 miles

Day Eleven/Thirty-one – Tuesday 14^th May
Breakfast is included in the campsite Taverna followed by a free day, both the beach and town are close to our campsite.

Day Twelve/Thirty-two – Wednesday 15^th May
An island tour is arranged including a visit to ‘Mon Repos’ villa, birthplace of Prince Philip.

Day Thirteen/Thirty-three – Thursday 16^th May
A free day before our ‘Farewell Dinner’. We get together to enjoy a final taste of Greek food and selection of local drinks this evening, with an opportunity to reflect on the many places visited throughout the whole tour.

Day Fourteen/Thirty-four – Friday 17^th May
No need for an early start after last night; late morning we cross back to mainland Greece in preparation for tonight’s return ferry to Italy. The tour comes to an end upon arrival back in mainland Greece with your return to Italy ferry included from Greece – The Peloponnese tour (again with ‘Camping on Board’ or ensuite internal cabin included). 15 miles, ferry. Note the Tour Directors may not be taking the ferry back to Italy at this time. Arrival in Italy is the following day, Saturday 18^th May.
