Relaxed touring, interesting locations and good food

Enjoy a picturesque tour around the edge of the Black Forest and along the River Rhine, all in a relaxed manner.

We meet at the town of Dahn, where our campsite is situated right on the edge of the forest, making it perfect for forest walks of all durations. Don’t miss a visit to the nearby local volunteer run ‘Forest Hut’, to sample traditional homemade dishes and cakes. The charming town centre of Dahn is also just a short walk away.

Our next stop is Speyer on the banks of the River Rhine. Famed for its Imperial Cathedral (the largest preserved Romanesque church in Europe), it is also home to a fascinating transport museum. Visits to both are included during our stay in Speyer, along with an afternoon cruise on the river.

We then follow the Rhine north as we move to Rüdesheim am Rhine, an attractive town laying in the rivers gorge and renowned for its wonderful views. The narrow cobbled lanes of the Old Town, lined with wine taverns and gardens are certainly not to be missed. We have included a visit to the fascinating museum of mechanical musical instruments, and you will also see the Germania Monument and get a bird’s eye view of the vineyards that cling to the sides of the Gorge as we return to the river by cable car.

Throughout this tour group activities are friendly for pet owners. The places included either accept pets inside or the duration of the excursion is such that pets can be comfortably left in the motorhome.
