May is a good time to be touring, particularly around the Mediterranean where the weather is good without being too hot, with everything remaining spring fresh and no need yet for parking in the shade. Many campsites in the Mediterranean use the natural shade offered by long standing trees or have developed canopies covered in vines, whose wine leaves offer good shade and protection from the summer sun as the seasons heat up.

For 2027 the tour programme continues to expand, with a an all-new tour for next year having recently been added to the GB Motorhome Tours website. The Celtic Charms tour runs during September 2027 and combines areas from two of the Celtic countries, the south west region of Scotland and the whole of Northern Ireland. The tour offers relaxed travel in scenic countryside, along with plenty of included content and group meals. Click on the tour name for the full itinerary.
A further new tour for next year will be in Slovenia during May/June 2027. This tour is currently being developed. If you would like to pre-register your interest in this, to receive the itinerary in advance of being made generally available and to have the opportunity of requesting a place prior to the tour being placed on our website, please send us an email and this will be done for you.
Throughout their time on tours, our Tour Directors enjoy getting their motorhome and yours to great places. Whilst travelling between campsites, Tour Directors often seek out stunning locations to stop for a coffee.

The photo in Iceland is taken in the wonderful Westfjord region. This is probably the most remote region it is possible to get to with your motorhome in Europe. It is a unique part of a simply stunning island to tour in. If you are looking for something completely different in a location to motorhome throughout, Iceland offers it in abundance. You will experience waterfalls, geysers, lava flows, craters, whales, seals, artic foxes, puffins, glaciers, icebergs, hot spas and more. Add in travelling during the period of mid-summers day, when 24 hour daylight is enjoyed, and you have all the ingredients of a once in lifetime adventure. For those joining tours imminently, be assured GB Motorhome Tours continues to monitor the situation regarding diesel supplies throughout Europe. We are obtaining information from our suppliers based in the countries of our tours, along with first-hand experience from Tour Directors already travelling in Europe with tours and from general news items. Current information indicates there are no concerning issues regarding availability. As a precaution, our advice for all those touring is to keep motorhome fuel tanks reasonably well filled. Once down to around half full, fill back up to keep a good range of diesel available at all times.
