Dear Fellow Motorhomers,
November and the arrival of the darker nights is here, it’s also been somewhat colder over the last few weeks. Whilst it’s not a great time for motorhoming the darker nights are good for planning next years holidays for which we have some great tours available.
Our full programme for next year is summarised below for you and remember; all our tours include group excursions with local tour guide & transport included, group meals, services of our Tour Directors travelling in their own motorhome and of course all campsite fees.
For all tours you have the choice of meeting near the country of destination, or by including our ‘optional travel from UK package’ have everything arranged for you; complete with a fully flexible Cross Channel ferry ticket including entry to the ships club class lounge in both directions.
If you prefer not to wait until next year for a holiday then providing you are quick we could still get you on our The Magic of Christmas tour departing from the UK for 7 nights on 9th December 2016. This year focused on Volkenburg in Holland many of the festivities take place inside a network of sandstone caves so it won’t matter what the weather does outside as inside is always dry and warm.

For those who have a satellite dish on their motorhome you will probably be aware the Astra 2 beam (which the British TV channels are broadcast on) is now transmitted with a much narrower footprint meaning the signal is lost sooner once travelling on the continent. On our recent Sicily tour however, Sky News and Sky subscription channels where still picked up by one motorhome with a high quality 80cm dish. An alternative for smaller dishes, if you wish to receive some news channels in English is to tune your dish into Astra 1 (used by the German TV channels) as here there are a number of news channels in English, including Sky News International which is the same as Sky News at home but without the adverts and BBC World, which as well as containing news every half an hour also shows BBC documentary style programmes. The Astra 1 footprint is much wider than the Astra 2 so is easily received across most of continental Europe.
We look forward to soon escorting you and your motorhome to some great places across Europe and beyond.
Kindest regards,
Nurcan & Kevin, Sue & Ron, Chris & Alan, Joan & Martin Your GB Motorhome Tours team
