Dear Fellow Motorhomers,
It’s June, the sun has been shinning this week and we have long light nights – a lovely combination for being away in your motorhome.
At GB Motorhome Tours we are often asked why we visit certain countries at a particular time of year, almost always the answer is the same – to enjoy all of the above whilst on tour. We visit the Mediterranean countries early spring or late autumn, the central European countries spring to summer and the Canary Islands over the winter.
Our spring Undiscovered Spain & Portugal tour has recently returned to the UK, from this are some customer reviews
Travelling with GB Motorhome Tours isn’t only a holiday, it is also an adventure. The Spain and Portugal Tour was no exception with visits to inspirational places, delicious local meals and ending at an amazing high point of 1,000 metres at Fuente-De in the Picos de Europas. Peter & Sue Drake
Thank you, GB Motorhome Tours, for another amazing trip with Chris and Alan who were again excellent tour directors. Everything was extremely well organised and we saw and did so much and look forward to another tour with you in the future. Mike & Lavinia George
Sorico on Lake Como taken this week on our Italian Lakes & Gardens tour
Currently we have two tours enjoying central European sunshine, our Italian Lakes & Gardens tour has now moved to Lake Garda and our All About Alsace tour is at Strasbourg, capital of this fascinating French region. And for the ultimate light nights experience our wonderful Discover Iceland tour departs in just over a weeks’ time, where tour participants can look forward to eternal light, being that far north at this time of year there is no darkness – a unique experience.
If you are out and about in the UK over the summer there are two good motorhome shows taking place, at both we have a stand so do come along and see us. Norfolk Motorhome show at the Norwich show ground takes place over the weekend of 21st – 23rd July (we are at stand 37)
and then the colourful Western Motorhome show is at the Malvern show ground over the weekend of 18th – 20th August (here we are at stand 151).
Looking ahead to next year all our tours are available to view in full on our website tours page, most are also now available to book, just Austria (will be on the website mid July) and Ireland (early October) are awaiting final research as our Tour Directors visit and test all aspects of the tour ready for next year.
To join with us before next year take a look at our three September tours featured below.
Planning ahead is popular with motorhomers with our Canary Islands 2018 tour now fully booked, there is a reserve list available if you would like to register your interest should a cancellation come about; to do this send us an email and we’ll arrange this for you. This ever popular tour will feature again in 2019 with the full itinerary and prices being available towards the end of this year. If you would like to receive the itinerary in advance of it being released generally send us an email and we’ll note your interest and give you first refusal of a place. This facility is available for any future tours that are awaiting final itinerary details so feel free to contact us with your interest.
At this time of year it can be beneficial to carry a couple of ice packs in your motorhome freezer, and for ferry crossings upon boarding the ferry place these into your fridge. With the fridge remaining closed throughout your time on board it’s an effective way to keep your cold food in good shape whilst your fridge is without power. Also ensures your beer and wine remains at an optimum temperature!
Have a fantastic summer and we look forward to escorting you and your motorhome to great places soon.
Kindest regards,
Nurcan & Kevin, Sue & Ron, Chris & Alan, Joan & Martin, Sue & Eddie
