With the festive season just around the corner all of us at GB Motorhome Tours wish you a Merry Christmas and all the very best for 2019. Thank you for travelling with us throughout 2018; on GB Motorhome Tours this year over 6,000 motorhome nights have been spent at 150+ different campsites in 17 countries: From Denmark in the north to the Canary Islands and Sicily in the south, from Ireland in the west across to Poland & Slovakia in the east, and in-between – France, Belgium, Holland, Luxemburg, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Hungary, Slovenia and Croatia. Our last tour for 2018 finished this week with guests returning back from a Magical Christmas in Bruges, Belgium and Valkenburg in Holland. Some good dry weather was experienced; allowing plenty of sightseeing, visits to Christmas markets and ideal for watching the Christmas parades. Each year we arrange just one festive tour and next year there is a wonderful Christmas Extravaganza Tour to look forward to which includes a fantastic Champagne Evening at the Moulin Rouge in Paris. Full tour details have just been released on our website and bookings are now possible.
On our website you can also see some 2020 tours beginning to appear and those shown are available to book now, thus allowing you to plan ahead. One brand new addition for 2020 is the Serbia, Slovenia & A Little Hungary tour.
Over the Christmas period, outside of the bank holidays, our office will be open to answer any questions or assist with any tour reservations you wish to make, so feel free to contact us by email or telephone. With a number of our 2019 tours becoming fully booked the festive season is an ideal time to make your plans for next year’s holidays, and for those holding loyalty discount vouchers from this year’s tours remember these are valid for reservations made up to 31/12/2018.
One of our next available tours and a great early season getaway to book for 2019 is our colourful Springtime in Holland tour. Taking in the wonderful colours of Holland at this time of year along with time in Amsterdam and Delft this trip packs a lot into a short period. It’s also a perfect tour to take advantage of our 60 day fully flexible return ferry ticket to extend your continental stay following the tours end if you so wish.
Before we get to spring, remember throughout the damper winter months motorhome manufacturers recommend owners to remove cushions and bedding from their vans and store these indoors for dryness. Often the practicalities of doing this are not easy, so a simpler alternative can be to periodically run a de-humidifier inside the motorhome to keep moisture levels low. Also doing this for 24 hours before taking your motorhome out on a winter trip can be particularly beneficial ensuring you set out in a cosy dry van.
