Dear Fellow Motorhomers,
Happy New Year to you and with Christmas done & dusted we return to planning and looking forward to great motorhome travels for 2017.
In the year ahead we’ve many great tours planned – stretching from Portugal in the West, to Spain & Greece in the south, to Romania & Bulgaria in the East and all the way to Iceland in the North ; not forgetting Slovenia, Italy, Germany, France and Switzerland in-between.
It’s cold at home now and whilst we can’t offer you and your motorhome a winter escape for this year (all our winter 2017 tours are now fully booked) we have on our website made available the winter tours for the start of 2018. Choose from our ever popular 70 night Canary Islands tour (already only limited spaces remain) or the shorter 14 night tour to the chic south of France Cote d’Azur coast.
Closer in time, for this year we can offer spring getaways and feature below three of our spring tours which currently have places available. If desired our Italian Lakes & Gardens tour can be combined with Sensational Slovenia tour to make for a longer trip with the Slovenia tour starting on the day, and just 30 minutes drive away from where the Italian tour finishes.
Thinking ahead to spring, as it arrives many people who don’t use their motorhomes throughout winter begin to think about preparing their vans for the summer season and go about purchasing new tyres. Often only to find others have the same thoughts and specialist camper tyres are difficult to obtain. If your motorhome is likely to need new tyres before the summer season maybe plan ahead and beat the rush by getting them changed sooner rather than later.
Also keep in mind industry recommendations are to replace tyres not only due to use but also age, with 5 years being the usual safe recommended life span. To know the age of a tyre fitted to your motorhome locate the date stamp on its side wall. This is in the format of week/year of manufacture so in the instance of finding 05/12 stamped on your tyre wall this tells you the tyre was manufactured in week 5 (1st week of February) in 2012. Keep in mind however the date stamp is only on one side of the tyre, so could be on the outside (easy to find & see) or the inside (not so easy), depending how the tyres were originally fitted.
Remember if there is anything you wish to ask about our tours feel free to contact us at any stage, we are always happy to help.
Many happy travels in 2017, we look forward to travelling with you through the year and escorting you & your motorhome to great places.
