Dear Fellow Motorhomers,
April and the Spring sunshine is beginning to combine with motorhome travel. Currently there are three GB Motorhome Tours taking place and another starting in a couple of weeks. Already underway is our Springtime in Holland tour where participants are enjoying the wonderful colours of the bulb fields at this time of year. Also on route from the UK are the Greece tour participants who can expect to find fine Spring weather throughout their time in Greece. And now on their way home are the participants from this year’s winter Canary Islands tour, where for them the Spring temperatures are well below those encountered throughout the 10 weeks spent touring in the islands.
If you would like to get away next winter there is no better place for weather between January & April than the Canary Islands, and bookings for next year’s tour are now available to be made on our website.
A couple of customer reviews from this years Canary Islands tour.
‘Kevin and Nurcan have really looked after us, they were always there to help if needed and to give guidance as required but never pushy. The trip took us to places we would never have seen on our own and to places we never wanted to see. We have really enjoyed the trip and would not hesitate to book another trip with them. So many thanks.’
Howard and Yvonne Hogton – Canary Islands – Jan to April 2019
‘A thoroughly interesting tour comprising warm weather, seasides, rain forests, mountains, cities, amazing landscapes, history and much more. Led by friendly, experienced and knowledgeable guides. A good mixture of free time and organised days out. A great experience.’
Jane and Douglas Marsland – Canary Islands – Jan to April 2019
Back in the UK in just over a weeks’ time sees the largest of the outdoor motorhome shows taking place in Peterborough (26 – 28 April), where we have our stand at location P9, if you’re at the event do come along and see us. There will be a number of our Tour Directors on hand to chat and answer any questions you may have.
If you can’t make Peterborough then in May we will be at the Cheltenham Motorhome Show (10 – 12 May) where again a number of our Tour Directors will be on our stand (A16)
Brexit has been a subject on many motorhomers minds and in particular how this will impact on foreign travel. Prior to this week it has not been possible to obtain much accurate guidance, but now with an extension of the process agreed until the end of October, or withdrawal earlier only with a deal, it means there is currently no additional documentation required for foreign travel. This gives a degree of certainty for all those taking their motorhome abroad throughout the next 6 months and covers all our Spring, Summer & Autumn tours.
For a late Spring holiday there are still some places available on our Southern Bavaria tour (11 June to 3 July – 22 nights) and our An Atlantic Coast Adventure tour (13 June to 4 July – 21 nights). And for a summer holiday linked with an adventure a cancellation has recently been received on our sold-out Baltic States tour (25 June to 23 July – 28 nights). Bookings for the Southern Bavaria and the An Atlantic Coast Adventure tours can be made direct on our website. For the one place on the Baltic States tour this can be booked on a first reserved basis by sending us an email in reply to this newsletter.
A reminder for all crossing to France with their motorhome. Fuel prices remain relatively high in France with Diesel at around €1.45 in the supermarkets and €1.69 in motorway service stations, at these prices it can be cheaper to fill up in the UK. Also whilst driving on French roads remember, that apart from motorways & dual carriageways, the maximum speed limit is now 80km (50 mph).
If there is anything you wish to ask about our tours feel free to contact us, we are always happy to help and we look forward to escorting you and your motorhome to many great places throughout the coming seasons.
